National Ladder Safety Month.

Mar 25, 2025

March 2025 marks the ninth anniversary of National Ladder Safety Month, an initiative led by the American Ladder Institute (ALI) to promote safe ladder use both at home and in the workplace. Each year, thousands of individuals suffer injuries, and hundreds lose their lives due to ladder-related accidents. This month-long campaign aims to raise awareness and reduce these incidents through education and training.

National Ladder Safety Month 2025 focuses on four key themes:

  • Week One: Training and Awareness

  • Week Two: Inspection and Maintenance

  • Week Three: Stabilization, Setup, and Accessories

  • Week Four: Safe Climbing and Positioning

The overarching goal is to decrease the number of ladder-related injuries and fatalities. To achieve this, ALI encourages increased participation in ladder safety training programs, aiming to boost the number of certifications issued and the usage of online training modules. Additionally, the initiative seeks to reduce ladder-related safety citations on OSHA’s annual “Top 10 Citations List” and promote the proper inspection and disposal of old or damaged ladders.

For comprehensive resources, including training videos, safety posters, and infographics, visit ALI’s dedicated safety training website at www.laddersafetytraining.org. Engaging with these materials can significantly enhance your understanding of ladder safety and contribute to a safer environment.

By embracing the “Every Step Matters” theme, National Ladder Safety Month 2025 serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of ladder safety. Through education and vigilance, we can work towards a future with fewer ladder-related accidents and a stronger culture of safety.
