Brian K. McCarthy
Chief Executive Officer and President
Mr. McCarthy serves as the President and CEO of eMaxx. Mr. McCarthy led Energi, the predecessor company, on a significant growth trajectory from an industrial reinsurance entity into a virtual InsurTech insurance company with expansion across the U.S. and internationally. Mr. McCarthy over the past fifteen years has overseen business development, underwriting, claims, operations and technology for the Company. Mr. McCarthy has acted as the visionary for technology development, lead the transition of providing programs that align with market trends and worked with leadership of eMaxx to develop risk management and claims programs to mitigate the impact of litigation financing. He is a serial entrepreneur with an understanding of financing structures, accounting, insurance and technology operations. Mr. McCarthy previously founded and lead brokerage operations providing him broader knowledge of the insurance industry. He has served on several insurance association boards and currently is a member of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce along with The Light Foundation.
Amy Lussier
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Lussier is the Chief Financial Officer at eMaxx Assurance Group of Companies and is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance and investor relations. Before joining eMaxx, she served as Controller at Fuze, Inc., an enterprise cloud communication and contact center platform, and was responsible for global accounting operations. Ms. Lussier also held positions at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, serving a variety of clients including accelerated public filers, smaller-scale public clients and venture backed- start-ups in the life sciences and technology industries, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers supporting both corporate and private equity clients on the buy and sell side financial due diligence for life sciences, software, manufacturing and consumer products. In addition, she managed the accounting function at Fidelis Cybersecurity, a provider of enterprise network security services including threat detection, hunting and response through platform solutions. Ms. Lussier earned her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from the College of the Holy Cross.
John Ferrante, Esq.
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Ferrante is the General Counsel and oversees the litigation management that handles the defense of litigated claims. He has been responsible in identifying and addressing societal trends that increase the costs of insurance claims, such as social inflation fueled by third-party litigation funding, higher medical costs, nuclear jury verdicts and judicial hellholes, and evolving legal concepts of tort and negligence. Mr. Ferrante is an honorably discharged Veteran of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and a graduate of Boston College and New England Law/Boston. He served in various legal capacities with the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service, GTE Corporation (Verizon); Liberty Mutual Insurance Group and the Ferrante Law Office. He is admitted to practice before several state and federal courts.
Patricia Boudrot
Executive Vice President, Operations
Ms. Boudrot is the Executive Vice President of Operations at eMaxx Assurance Group of Companies, Inc. and oversees the Human Resources, Information Technology, Education & Training, Facilities and Strategic Planning operating areas. Previous experience included positions at Conifer Companies and the B.K. McCarthy Insurance Agency, managing the financial, accounting, and information systems for private Property and Casualty insurance organizations, and at Insurance Holdings of America supporting research and product development of an online insurance application. Ms. Boudrot earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Salem State College.
Kevin Seth
President, eTechnology Services
Mr. Seth serves as the President of eTechnology Services and brings over 30 years of insurance experience. Before joining eTechnology, he held management positions with national and regional insurance companies and insurance agencies. He also started his own consulting practice that served the insurance industry. Mr. Seth earned his bachelor’s degree from Salem State University and is a licensed property and casualty broker. He has earned several designations including Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Associate in Underwriting (AU), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS).
Jin Yang
Chief Technology Officer, eTechnology Services
Mrs. Yang has been an IT professional since 1998 and has been working in the insurance industry for over 10 years. She has extensive experience in database design and programing, web applications design and programing using ASP.Net technology, data warehousing and business intelligence using various platforms and reporting tools as well as data integration between OLTP systems and data warehouse. She previously was a member of eMaxx’s technology services division where she played a major role in the implementation of web applications including the Risk Management Activity Tracker (RMAT), Underwriting Analytics Systems, Claims Management System (CMAT) and Learning Management System (LMS). She has been a certified project manager (PMP) since 2005. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Tongji University in Shanghai, China and MSC and PhD degrees from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK.
Megan P. McCarthy
President, eCaptiv, LLC
Ms. McCarthy is President of eCaptiv, LLC and is responsible for Strategic Relations at eMaxx supporting carrier and strategic partner relationships, managing captive program governance and member services. Ms. McCarthy assists with the development and implementation of new captive programs. Throughout her career, Ms. McCarthy has supported the Company in government and public affairs efforts, including the implementation of eMaxx’s Risk Management Summit. In her previous role, she worked in the Alternative Energy Solutions (AES) division of eMaxx in Business Development. Ms. McCarthy graduated from College of the Holy Cross as a major in Political Science.
William Generous
Chief Development Officer, eMaxx Assurance Group of Companies
William Generous is the Chief Development Officer at eMaxx Assurance Group of Companies. He leads the design and implementation of strategies to identify funding sources needed to finance the growth and development activities of the organization. Prior to joining eMaxx in 2023, William was a Senior Vice President at Stonybrook Capital, an insurance dedicated investment bank and advisory firm. At Stonybrook, William focused on expanding its capacities in capital raising and advisory in the insurance and insurtech space. William started his career at EJF Capital, a $3.3bn AUM alternative asset manager, where he grew out EJF’s insurance pillar and was part of the structured product team working on investment deals across capital structures, both equity and debt, and covered public and private insurance companies in both the US and Bermuda. He has a B.S. degree in Physics with concentrations in computational sciences and numerical analysis from The University of Texas at Austin.
Lauren McCarthy
Vice President, Finance, eMaxx Assurance Group of Companies
Ms. Lauren McCarthy is the Vice President of Finance at eMaxx where she is responsible for supporting financial reporting for eMaxx Assurance Group of Companies and subsidiaries, including the eCaptiv entities. Ms. McCarthy oversees day to day accounting functions including accounts receivable and expense management. Ms. McCarthy previously supported the Company’s reinsurance and carrier relationships as well as assisted with the implementation of the strategic operating plan. Prior to joining eMaxx, Ms. McCarthy worked in the audit practice at Deloitte. Ms. McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics-Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross.
Justin Russo
President, eRisk Solutions
Mr. Russo leads the Accident Reconstruction, Cause & Origin, Claims Adjustment Services and Loss Prevention operations. He has been instrumental in the development of risk management tools including eLive Connect, an interactive portal with customized risk management tools for the industry. Mr. Russo is an authorized OSHA Instructor and National Safety Council Trainer. In addition to training thousands of employees, he has been a guest speaker for industry associations such as Best Practices Group, New York Propane Gas Association, and Propane Gas Association of New England. Mr. Russo previously worked for a medical regulatory compliance company developing hazard communication and various safety programs for medical facilities. Mr. Russo is a graduate of Keene State College with a BS in Occupational Safety and Business Management.
Kevin J. Kaminski
Executive Vice President, Underwriting, eMaxx Insurance Services, LLC
Mr. Kaminski serves as the Executive Vice President of Underwriting at eMaxx. Kevin also leads the alternative energy solutions division at eMaxx and has developed the Energy Savings Warranty, Manufacturers Product Warranty, Output Performance Warranty, and Solar Installation Performance Warranty programs. Prior to joining eMaxx, Mr. Kaminski commissioned and rehabilitated power plants for General Electric Power Systems, including gas, oil, nuclear, wind and hydro. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, holding degrees in Marine Engineering and Facilities Engineering.
John McCarthy, Jr.
President and Chief Compliance Officer, eMaxx Insurance Services, LLC
Mr. McCarthy serves as President of eMaxx Insurance Services and serves as the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. With over fifty year veteran of the insurance and securities industries, Mr. McCarthy holds all lines licenses in 50 U.S. states and jurisdictions. Previously, Mr. McCarthy was Chairman of the Board of Insurance Holdings of America, Inc., a venture and institutional backed insurance e-commerce company. He is a Retired U.S. Army Veteran (Major) with decorated combat service in the Republic of Vietnam with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division.
Richard Metivier
Executive Vice President, Distribution, eMaxx Insurance Services, LLC
Mr. Metivier leads the distribution network at eMaxx Insurance Services for the marketing of insurance programs through its in-house sales professionals and independent agents and brokers. Mr. Metivier has been with eMaxx since the founding of the company leading the distribution relationships of its guaranteed cost and variable cost captive programs. Mr. Metivier has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years starting his career as a retail insurance broker where he established the energy practice for the company. He previously served as Vice President of National Accounts and as a Regional Vice President for a pioneering e-commerce company that formed alliances with a major retailer and auto manufacturer. Mr. Metivier graduated cum laude from Salem State University.
Maria Pinto
Executive Vice President, Client Services, eMaxx Insurance Services, LLC
Ms. Pinto manages the Client Services operations that is focused on providing high level service to appointed brokers and members. With over twenty years in the insurance industry, Ms. Pinto has deep rooted experience in the functions of the client services operations that include account management, DMV transactions, policy and endorsement issuance, premium auditing, and unit stat reporting. Ms. Pinto began her career the customer service operations at B.K. McCarthy Insurance Agency and subsequently managed retail and wholesale brokerage relations for Conifer Companies.
