A major focus on trends impacting small and middle market companies

 

Peabody, MA – (November 2, 2017) eServices, a specialized platform focused on providing turn-key risk management, claims, marketing, and technology solutions through its various entities, hosted more than 800 members from a wide range of industries within the insurance vertical including small and middle market companies, insurance companies, reinsurance companies, independent brokers and agents, and safety and claims management providers at the Risk Management Summit at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Guided by the theme Unlocking Possibility, a major focus of the Risk Management Summit was combatting commercial auto trends. The Summit featured ideas, concepts and products focused on these factors by unlocking claims, risk management, safety and technologies strategies that will ultimately provide cost savings.

The Summit began on Sunday with Roundtable Discussions focused on commercial auto, litigation management strategies, and vehicle technologies. A Welcome Reception was hosted at Marquee Night Club at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, sponsored by York Risk Services.

Brian McCarthy, CEO of Energi, opened Monday with an address focused on current trends impacting small and middle market companies and how those trends are affecting the insurance market. This included commercial auto and workers compensation. In addition to this, he hosted panel discussions centered on workers compensation and commercial auto trends. Other sessions on Monday included a number of Industry Best Practices Panels: Propane and Home Heating Oil; Renewable Energy; Construction Services; and Transportation. The day concluded with an EXPO Night at the comprehensive tradeshow featuring over 60 exhibitors, sponsored by HDI Global.

Tuesday kicked off with a General Session on How to Become a More Attractive Risk to an Insurance Provider and proceeded with over 35 Risk and Claims Management, Human Resources, and Marketing Breakout Sessions. These panel discussions included: The Impact of Dash Cameras; the Opioid Epidemic and Injured Workers; Cyber Protection Plans; Emergency Response and Preparedness and Lessons Learned from Claims Investigations. Following the Breakout Sessions, a happy Hour was hosted in the EXPO that was sponsored by GraVoc.

 

On the final day, the Summit featured General Sessions with topics ranging from Vehicle Technology Solutions and How to Change for Tomorrow featuring Justin Berry and Jon Wicks of FIRST Insurance Funding. Former New England Patriots players, Matt Light and Rob Ninkovich delivered the first fireside chat Keynote Address. Following this, Brian McCarthy moderated a discussion with Laura Ingraham   The Summit concluded with a Night at the Movies themed awards ceremony hosted by Energi and FIRST Insurance Funding that acknowledged Energi’s 2017 Risk Management, Technology, Claims, and Energy Innovation Award Winners.
