PEABODY, Mass. – eServices, a specialized platform focused on providing turn-key risk management, claims, marketing, and technology solutions through its various entities, has announced that combatting commercial auto trends will be major focus of 2017 Risk Management Summit at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, October 15th – 19th, 2017.

“Education on risk management, claims, and technology is critical to combatting commercial auto trends” Brian K. McCarthy, CEO of Energi and eServices Companies. “Having insurance Industry leaders participate in the Risk Management Summit helps in making positive strides in this complicated game of chess.”

The commercial auto line of business has experienced its worst underwriting performance since 2011 and is expected to continue to trend poorly, according to various publications. Some factors contributing to the poor performance of the line include distracted driving and increased costs of vehicles with enhanced technology, among other things. Additionally, commercial auto insurance companies and their policyholders are a constant target to investor funded litigation, fraud, and nuclear verdicts that are significantly impacting the line of business and the industry overall.

The 2017 Risk Management Summit will feature educational sessions focused on combatting these factors by unlocking claims management, risk management, safety, and technology strategies that will ultimately provide cost savings.

Technology products such as telematics, driver simulators, side guards, dash cameras and collision avoidance systems will be featured to help in reducing both the number of accidents and severity of the outcome of the claim.  Any insurance company, broker or agent, risk management and safety managers are encouraged to attend the Risk Management Summit.
