Saturday, May 30,2015, forty six Energi employees participated in the Best Buddies Challenge. The Energi team helped raise $50,000 for the organization through participation and sponsorship. Energi employees participated in the weekend’s 100 mile bike ride, 50 mile bike ride, 20 mile bike ride and the 5K run/walk to Hyannis Port. Energi, a sponsor of the Challenge, also put together a “Virtual 5K team” who ran/walked in Peabody to support Best Buddies.
The team biked and walked for Caroline Shea of Beverly, who has Down Syndrome and is part of the Beverly High School Best Buddies chapter. Caroline is the daughter of Suzanne Shea, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Energi. Caroline was the water girl for the Tom Brady Football Challenge on Friday night at Harvard Stadium.
The Best Buddies Challenge raises funds for Best Buddies International, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with all forms of intellectual disabilities. Click here to visit the Best buddies website.
